Dear Students of the Faculty of Agriculture, Yamagata University,
Hello everyone, we are pleased to announce that we are holding a “MOCHI Party” to encourage interaction among students.
At the event, you can enjoy a traditional mochi-pounding experience and other aspects of Japanese culture, such as calligraphy (kakizome) and karuta .
First-time participants are very welcome, so please feel free to join us!

- Date: Wednesday, January 21, 2026
- Time: 6pm-8pm
*Mochi pounding will start at 18:00.
- Location: 2nd Floor of the Cafeteria, Tsuruoka Campus, YU
- Participation Fee: Around 500 yen
*More details will be announced later.
- Notes
- You may join or leave at any time.
- You can experience mochi pounding yourself. (The experience lasts for about 30 minutes, from 6pm until the mochi is ready.)
- Mochi will be served on a first-come, first-served basis and in limited supply.
- The karuta and calligraphy booths will remain open until 8pm.

このたび、学生・留学生同士の交流を目的とした**「MOCHIパーティー」**を開催する運びとなりました。
当日は、餅つき体験のほか、書き初めやカルタなどの日本文化を楽しめるブースも設ける予定です。
初めての方も大歓迎ですので、ぜひお気軽にご参加ください。

- The participation fee has been set at 500 yen.
- You are welcome to join the event at any time; however, mochi pounding will start at 18:00, so we would be happy if you could join us from the beginning.
Please feel free to leave at any time, depending on your schedule. We hope you can join us in a relaxed and comfortable way.
